Wink Motors

About Wink

Honesty, integrity, and service.

That’s the founder’s pledge, verbatim — and the reason this company communicates the way it does.

Mark Dweck, founder of Wink Motors

A car guy who reads customs forms.

Wink founder Mark Dweck spent more than forty years as an importer producing for large consumer brands — and a lifetime as a classic-car collector from Brooklyn. Wink is those two things combined: a genuine affection for small, friendly machines, and the unglamorous competence to bring one to America properly.

Properly means the boring parts: federal LSV compliance, a real 17-digit VIN and certificate of origin on every vehicle, a written warranty, and a service answer — Sprout Service — that works in every town with a mechanic. No dealer network, no markup theater. You buy the vehicle, it arrives at your door, your local shop keeps it running.

The pledge, in full

“Honesty, Integrity, and Service. … We pledge to always offer the finest product at the fairest price. … We believe that everyone we deal with is intelligent, and they will be treated as such. Our job is to dispense realistic honest information. We will never hammer customers for orders. Wink will not promote using balloons, unrealistic crazy come on offers, no high-pressure sales. … Please contact me personally if we ever offend, exaggerate, or misrepresent.”

In practice

We publish both sides.

A pledge is only interesting where it costs something. Ours shows up in the details.

  • Our safety page says out loud that the Mark3 is not crash-tested and has no airbags — alongside what it does have. Read the ledger →
  • No countdown timers, no “only 2 left,” no invented urgency. Ever.
  • And yes — we’re headquartered in New York, a state that doesn’t yet allow LSVs on its public roads. We tell you that, too.
